Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two welcomed Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał to the sofa on Thursday, 31 October as they prepare for the ballroom competition's inaugural Icons Week.

Speaking to presenter Janette Manrara, the couple discussed this weekend's tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen with a medley including Another One Bites the Dust.

In light of Pete's lauded Joker performance from Halloween Week — Jowita was his Harley Quinn, of course — Janette asked whether getting his claws into another character would prove beneficial, leading Jowita to draw a comparison to the legendary rock star.

Having paused for an uncomfortable amount of time, much to the amusement of Janette and Pete, the Polish pro finally answered: "I think the one thing that Pete has very similar to Freddie is that performance mode."

"And a moustache!" quipped the TOWIE star.

"Like, he genuinely goes into performance mode so quickly and I think every time on Saturday night I feel that right now he's performing but also dancing," continued Jowita. "The last two weeks I feel like he's not only performing he's also dancing. So he combines both of them."

Could he rival Rami Malek's Oscar-winning portrayal of Freddie from the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody?

Meanwhile, Pete admitted earlier on in the programme that he "zoned out" during the judges' feedback last weekend.

"I was just so happy I'd got through it and I felt like it went well, so I didn't really take it onboard until afterwards when I realised what they'd said," he told Janette.

"I think I was just in a bit of a blank space."

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday, 2 November on BBC One.
