Yahoo News Strictly pro hits back at Gleb affair comments
Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice has hit back at former star Gleb Savchenko's claims that affairs on the "could well be happening" on the show.
Gleb's original comments came in the wake of the Seann Walsh and Katya Jones scandal, and he accused the likes of Giovanni of "making out when no one else is seeing it".
"A lot of stuff happens secretly that we don't know about," he said in his original comments. "It's obvious the dancers have feelings – it's not necessarily that they want to go and f**k them but a lot of people do.
"It's normal if you're single but if you're not single then OK, you've taken that a bit too far. I know from the past that these things happen and people get married and even stay together from the curse – it happens."
He added: "We've seen Seann and Katya making out outside a bar and if you asked me if I think people like Giovanni and his partner or any of the others are making out when no one is seeing it, I cannot answer that question. It could well be happening."
However, Giovanni – who is partnered with Faye Tozer – has defiantly hit back, telling The Sun: "This is total and utter nonsense! No one has any idea why Gleb is saying stuff like this. It's utter rubbish."
Meanwhile, in the wake of the Seann and Katya kiss scandal, fellow Strictly star Graeme Swann has admitted he had an awkward backstage encounter with the comedian when he tried to make light of the saga.
