Strictly professional told 'just stop' by dance partner as she films video diary
Comedian Chris McCausland took a wry swipe at his Strictly Come Dancing professional dance partner, Dianne Buswell, earlier this week, as he told her to "just press stop" while she filmed a video diary during their training session. The duo were officially paired up on the Strictly launch show on BBC One on Saturday, September 14.
Following the announcement, Dianne expressed her joy on social media, stating she "couldn't be happier", and adding: "My abs are already more defined from a solid week of laughter."
Dianne, an Australian dancer who has twice reached the competition's final, has been posting daily video diaries featuring herself and Chris. These videos capture their breaks from training, discussions about their dance progress and general chit-chat.

However, their first video diary, posted on Monday, ended rather abruptly when Chris, 47, told Dianne: "I think... press stop. Just press stop."
This came after Dianne, 35, had been discussing potential baby names with Chris, revealing her desire to name her future daughter 'Americas'. Chris' response was a stunned silence, followed by his request to stop recording.
Despite this, Dianne was seen laughing as she said, "Okay, I'm pressing stop", before ending the video. Fortunately, Chris' reaction seems to align with his dry sense of humour, and it appears that he and Dianne are enjoying their time together.
In an amusing video diary posted on Monday, Chris was prompted to guess how many ear piercings Dianne had in total and even invited to check out the piercings in her ears.
He quipped: "How did you ever get so many followers with this kind of content? This is real bottom of the barrel stuff, isn't it? What's the next episode, guess how many toes I've got?"
Further hilarity ensued in their latest Instagram shared update on Tuesday, where Chris poked fun at the unusual shape of Dianne's thumb, which she affectionately dubs her "toe thumb".
Upon inspecting her thumb, he couldn't help but exclaim: "It's like it gave up growing! You could get a Blue badge for that, like a disability parking badge. You can't push your trolley back to the car properly with your little thumbs."
Dianne burst into laughter, branding Chris a "p****r" a term she clarified as Australian slang for being particularly amusing. To this, Chris retorted: "Oh, you're a bit of a p****r yourself then. You p***y little Aussie."
The pair are set to debut their dance moves together on Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday night, broadcast from 7pm on BBC One.
