The BBC Strictly Come Dancing spoiler for Musicals Week has been released - and sparked widespread fury. Every week, a blog dedicated to the BBC results, which are pre-recorded on Saturday nights before airing on Sunday, reveals who is sent home.

BirminghamLive has chosen not to publish the results from the quarter final - but it is fair to say people are NOT happy. Taking to Twitter, now X, one typed on social media last night: "Absolute disgrace. Like I’m sorry but what is it?"

A second raged: "Another example of the public voting for their favourites from an "Entertainment" perspective and not from how good or bad they are at dancing. As we get closer to the end it's clear now who the favourites are and that isn't always the better dancers."

Another typed: "I'm really shocked about one of the couples in tonight's Dance off especially when they've been so consistent since Week 1. Devastated about the other couple going home as they've been my favourites since Week 1. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing "

"Not watching this **** anymore," another fumed. Elsewhere on Twitter there was praise galore for Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, with one typing: "Chris & Dianne's Anything Goes Quickstep. Proper musical. Chris getting to show his footwork off in this, lovely and clean but the hold and topline are not so great.

"I like Chris but wish it was better. Glad of a proper song but not good enough in his upper body to get my vote." A second praised JB Gill and said: "Lauren makes a practically perfect Mary Poppins. I really enjoyed that Viennese Waltz from her & JB. It was a joy to watch. I feel some 10's incoming."

"Popping back in the suggest that perhaps we should have a year or two off from the theme weeks as obviously all the good musical songs or movie week films have been done and maybe a nice fallow rest might reset the available selection to allow proper dancing to proper music to reassert its self again," another wrote.
