Is it just us, or did there seem to be a hell of a lot of controversy surrounding this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing?

Maybe we all needed something to distract us from Brexit, but for two weeks it felt like everyone was trying to have their say on the whole drama surrounding Seann Walsh, Katya Jones and their drunken kiss. And then when they were voted off, everyone started to go in on Danny John-Jules.

Ahead of this weekend's final, Dame Darcey Bussell is appearing on The Graham Norton Show. During the filming of the interview, the host asks if she thought this series feels more scandalous to her than before.

"There's probably no more than there usually is," Darcey says. "It's just unusual for people to be so tactile and not to think you are coming on to them – it's the job, and dancers are used to it but perhaps other people get the wrong idea."

Appearing alongside the dancing legend is comedian Bill Bailey, who reveals that he has been asked to do the show many times, but has refused because he would like to learn to dance without the judgmental element that the show contains.
