Two Strictly stars have spilled the beans on what Swindon audiences can expect when they bring their toe-tapping extravaganza to the Wyvern Theatre.

Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice have wowed television viewers with years of performances on the BBC hit programme Strictly Come Dancing, but now they're embarking on a tour of their show 'Him and Me'.

The pair will be dancing their way through three performances - one on July 21 at 7.30pm and two on July 22 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Ahead of their arrival in Swindon, Anton and Giovanni sat down for an interview and explained how the unlikely partnership came about.

Giovanni said: "Anton is a total legend. I always wanted to tour with him and last year we finally made it happen. It was definitely the right time for both of us and our debut tour was a huge success… so here we go again!

Anton added: "We began the tour last year just as we were coming out of lockdown. We only ended up doing about three weeks, so it felt like a preview! It gave us the opportunity to review it which you don’t usually get the chance to do. So now it’s perfect!"

But the show won't just be a dancing display as the two performers confirmed there will be some singing as well.

"Oh yes, the full shebang! We’re holding nothing back. It’s everything we love to do but also, we’re doing it together," said Anton.

"The audience gets to see part of our personalities and relationship with each other as well as the all-singing, all-dancing. We’ve also got a great cast of singers and dancers, so the whole thing is very uplifting - I’m absolutely delighted.

I’m attempting to sing! I’ve been singing in my own show as well. I’m still taking lessons because it’s something I want to learn more about," Giovanni said.

"I like to sing like Whitney Huston when I’m In the shower, but realistically it doesn’t sound like that when I’m on stage!"

Giovanni concluded that Swindon audiences were in for a treat.

"It's all-singing, all-dancing, fabulous costumes, and a lot of personality. We have an amazing team of people working on this show - it’s going to be very special."
