Strictly It Takes Two viewers issue same complaint minutes into BBC spin-off show

Strictly It Take Two fans were all left saying the same thing as host Fleur East introduced the Friday panel during the latest instalment of the BBC Two spin-off show.

Fleur welcomed This Morning regular and Capital DJ Sian Welby, presenter Will Njobvu and comedian Matt Richardson on Friday to the studio on Friday (September 27) evening to get their thoughts on the ongoing 2024 series of the BBC dance competition.

However, viewers watching at home didn't appear to interested in what the "Friday Panel" had to say and were left all wondering the same thing. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "Who the heck are these people on the panel #ItTakesTwo?" Another added: "Not only do I not know who the Friday panel are....I think they're very rude to the couples. I don't like any of them."

Someone else said: "Idk why we have to put up with the abysmal Friday panel every week." A fourth person agreed: "#ittakestwo whoever this supposed Friday panel is, please don't ever bring them back!" However, some viewers were happy with the line-up, with one social media saying: "Nice to have a panel member who speaks the truth rather than just regurgitating the usual platitudes about how amazing and brave everyone is."

When speaking about contestant Paul Merson, panellist Matt didn't hold back on sharing his thoughts. This weekend, viewers will see football icon Paul and his professional partner Karen Hauer do a Salsa for the judges, hoping to earn a higher mark than their week one score of 17.

Showing people a sneak peek at his rehearsals, Fleur highlighted Paul just wants to have fun while he's on the show. Addressing Sian, she asked: "Do you think he needs to set the bar a little higher for himself?" The radio star replied: "I think it'll change if he starts getting higher scores, that competitiveness will kick in. He's a footballer! He'll get that energy of wanting to win."

Although, Matt seemed to heavily disagree with Sian's remark. He hit out: "I just don't think he's going to be getting much higher scores, I mean come on. I'm going to put some money on it, I do know. I think that's about as good as it's going to get!"

However, Will disagreed as he believed Paul will surprise everybody watching. Shaking his head laughing, Matt added: "Absolutely not." Despite his strong critiques of Paul, the It Takes Two guest believes another celebrity will be the first to go.

The conversation quickly moved on to Toyah Wilcox, who is currently bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 12. Matt confessed: "I'm not confident, I think Toyah shouldn;t cancel her December holiday, that's how I feel."

While Sian scolded him for his mean comment, Fleur was speechless as she replied: "Savage!" Will revealed he believes she's a dark horse and may end up finishing near the finales.

Matt added: "I think she's at risk this week, if she doesn't do really well she could potentially be going."

Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday on BBC One from 6:15pm and Strictly: It Takes Two airs weeknights on BBC Two from 6pm
