Strictly's Tasha Ghouri explains why she wasn't surprised to be in dance-off
The reality star said she had a 'gut feeling' that she would be in the bottom two
What did you miss?
Strictly's Tasha Ghouri has admitted she had a "gut feeling" she was going to end up in the dance-off at the weekend.
The Love Island star and her pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec ended up near the top of the leaderboard after scoring an impressive 38 out of a possible 40 for their Argentine Tango, which included perfect 10s from judges Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke. But when it was time for two couples to go head to head their names were read out alongside Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, who ended up being eliminated.
During an interview on spin-off show It Takes Two, Ghouri confessed she knew it was coming but was determined not to get the chop as she was "not ready to go".
What, how and why?
She told host Janette Manrara that it wasn't the way that she and Skorjanec had performed, but that she just felt she was heading into her first dance-off on the BBC show.
"I wasn't massively shocked," she said. "I kind of felt it in my gut. Not because of the dance or what we did. I just had that gut feeling. That's why my reaction, I wasn't really surprised. I kind of went, 'OK'."
She went on: "But in my head I was like, 'We've got this' and I took it as a positive."
Turning to Skorjanec, she explained: "It's another time to dance with you. It's an honour to do another Argentine Tango. Always look ahead with a smile on my face.
"I went out there and just gave it everything I had. I just had the fire in me. I was like, 'I'm not ready to go yet'."
