Bruno Tonioli has been revealed as the Pearly King on 'The Masked Dancer.'

The 66-year-old choreographer - who is best known for having served as a judge on BBC Latin and ballroom show 'Strictly Come Dancing' for several years - was the latest celebrity unmasked on the ITV show, and joked that he had made a "terrible mistake" in signing up for the show because he thought he had been asked to do 'The Masked Singer'.

When host Joel Dommett told Bruno he had been "astonishingly good" on the show, Bruno quipped: "Why did I not win then? Maybe because I stopped dancing in 1983! In fact, it was a terrible mistake. I thought 'Oh yeah, I love 'The Masked Singer', I love that. I'll do that, then I saw it said dancer and thought 'You've gotta be kidding me!' You should always lead your contracts!"

The Italian-born star had feigned a cockney accent early on in his run on the show, prompting rumours that 'EastEnders' actor Danny Dyer was in the costume but explained that it was too hard to keep up.

Guest judge John Bishop - who was filling in for Jonathan Ross due to illness - said: "What I love about this, is that people have gone up to Danny Dyer and said 'Is it you?'"

Bruno said: "It was hard week 'aving to talk like that, mate!"

Bruno - whose identity was correctly guessed by judges Oti Mabuse, Peter Crouch, and Dawn French - added that he chose the name 'Pearly King' because it was so "different" and closed out his time on the show by dancing one final time to 'abdefu' by Gayle.
