Chris McCausland delighted his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars and many viewers at home when he fired a scathing insult at Craig Revel-Horwood live on air on Saturday night.

Comedian Chris is making Strictly history this year as the BBC show's first ever blind contestant, with him blowing away the Strictly judges and fans alike with his impressive week one routine, with him making such a great impression that some bookies swiftly put him at the top of the odds as joint favourite to win the new series.

On Saturday night, Chris was back on the dancefloor to perform a Foxtrot to Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy by The Tams, but it was a remark he made before even setting foot in the ballroom that caused a stir. The first few routines of the second live show of 2024 clearly didn't land with Craig Revel-Horwood, as the notoriously hard to please judge gave out some low scores, including just 2 for Paul Merson, after the Arsenal footballer did the first salsa of the new series.

And, when asked how he was feeling about this week by Strictly host Claudia Winkleman, rather than talk about his impending performance, Chris instead chose to take aim at Craig, as he responded: "By the sounds of how things are going so far, I think Craig is blinder than I am!"

After his outburst, Chris then rubbed salt into the wound, by telling Craig he'd give him a 2 and added: "You've got no technique and your legs aren't straight!"

For the second week in a row, Chris got plenty of praise from the judges, as he and pro partner Dianne Buswell got 29 out of 40 for their Foxtrot.
