Chris McCausland is 'guaranteed' to make the Strictly Come Dancing final, according to experts, with him regarded as the star with the 'safest' position on the the show this year and the clear favourite to win.

Comedian Chris is making history on the BBC programme, by being the first ever blind contestant on Strictly; but he certainly hasn't let his impairment stand in his way of delivering some absolutely fantastic performances. Well down in the odds on 2004 champion before the start of this year's run, he quickly climbed into contention, before becoming the one to beat; a position he has maintained since the second week.

Chris' brilliant footwork and musicality has blown away both the Strictly judges and millions of viewers at home, who have fallen in love with his partnership alongside pro dancer Dianne Buswell. Even when they dropped towards the bottom of the leaderboard, they make it safely through to the following week and had a real return to form in Blackpool. when they got their highest score to date - 37 out of 40 - for their American Smooth.

Chris is just one of four stars left in the running not to have been in the bottom two, along with Tasha Ghouri, Jamie Borthwick, Sarah Hadland and Pete Wicks, who, despite his good track record and obvious popularity with the public, has been made the favourite to go this week with Grosvenor Sport on odds of 3/4. Chris finds himself right at the other end of the Strictly elimination betting, on huge odds of 100/1 to go.

And when it comes to who will take home the Glitterball trophy this year, he is still well ahead of his rivals on 11/50, with Sarah the closest to him on 4/1.
