Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell has revealed that Chris McCausland choreographed a section of the couple's week two routine.

Chris and Dianne took to the dancefloor in the latest live show (September 28) of the dance competition, performing a foxtrot to The Tams hit 'Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy'.

The couple's routine, which ended with Chris joining Dianne standing on a bench before the pair jumped into a seated position, received lots of praise from the judges.

"You made that look so easy," Motsi Mabuse commented, calling the dance "very smooth" and "very controlled".

Shirley Ballas called Dianne's teaching "off the scale" as she praised Chris's footwork, while Anton Du Beke also commended Chris for his technique and timing. Craig Revel Horwood also had praise for Chris's "musicality".

As the pair chatted to presenter Claudia Winkleman following their performance, Dianne revealed that Chris had made a choreography suggestion that subsequently made it into the final routine.

"That little bit at the end on the bench... I was up there and he said, 'Why are you having all the fun up there? I want to get up there too'," she recalled. "I said 'Okay!' So he choreographed that little bit himself."

Dianne recently spoke about how she has adjusted her training approach to work with comedian Chris, who is the first blind contestant to compete on Strictly.

"It's obviously very different. We use a lot of feel," she said. "I'll be like, 'Get down on your knees, and feel my legs'. It is a different way of teaching."

Following the first live show last weekend, Dianne shared a tribute to her dance partner, saying that "dancing last night with Chris was one of my most memorable dance experiences I have ever had!"

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
