Yahoo News Strictly's Ellie Leach surprises Vito Coppola in heartwarming TV moment
Tonight's (September 23) episode of Strictly: It Takes Two saw Ellie Leach surprise Vito Coppola in a heartwarming moment.
Vito appeared on the first episode of the spin-off show with his celebrity partner Sarah Hadland to discuss their show-stopping routine from the weekend.
During their interview, host Fleur East revealed that Ellie, who won last year's series with Vito, had filmed a surprise message for her friend – ahead of his birthday on Friday (September 26).

"Happy birthday Vito Coppola! Hope you have the best best day ever, and I hope that Sarah is feeding you lots of coffee and cake. Love you so much!" she said in the clip, before Vito very happily replied: "Aww thank you baby!"
Ellie and Vito took to the Strictly dance floor for their final routine during last week's launch show, performing their iconic pasodoble to 'Insomnia' by Faithless.
To mark their last rehearsal, the pair took to Instagram with a fun lip-sync video to Peter Andre's 1995 hit 'Mysterious Girl'.
"We started our first rehearsal one year ago with a funny reel and we are going to start our last rehearsal in the same way," the caption read.
"I'm not going to lie... we have filmed it about 7 times or more because we kept laughing on each other," the dancer continued, before adding: "Love you baby."

In the first live show of the 2024 series, Sarah and Vito scored an impressive 30 points for their quickstep to '9 to 5' by Dolly Parton – the highest ever score for a quickstep in week one.
"It was just insane, it was just so exhilarating, so exciting, terrifying. It was just magical," said Sarah on It Takes Two tonight, with Vito adding: "We had lots of fun."
This weekend, the duo will dance the pasodoble to 'Freed From Desire' by Gala. Vito revealed that he wants to create a "modern" and "avant-garde" routine, which showcases a different side to Sarah.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
