Yahoo News Strictly's Gorka posts sweet tribute to Gemma Atkinson after welcoming first child
Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez has posted a sweet tribute to Gemma Atkinson after welcoming their first child together.
The couple, who met on the BBC One dancing show when Gemma was a contestant in 2017, announced the birth of their daughter earlier this month with a touching social media post.
And, taking to Instagram yet again on Sunday (July 14), Gorka lamented having to spend time away from the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star and their daughter, adding that he's "counting down the hours" until he's reunited with them.

"I took this photo few hours after Gem gave birth to our gorgeous baby girl," he wrote.
"I’ve been only five days away from both of them and It already feels like five months.
"Counting down the hours to be back with both of them and melt my eyes looking at those two beautiful faces..."

Gemma first announced her pregnancy in February this year.
The birth of their daughter follows a baby shower thrown for Gemma last month.
Speaking following the announcement of the birth, Gemma said: "And just like that, we're a three!
"She's incredible and she certainly made an entrance, giving us all quite a fright at times! Little Miss Independent already!"
Strictly Come Dancing returns this autumn to BBC One.
