Strictly Come Dancing's James Jordan lays into judges and calls for huge shake-up on BBC show
Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has publicly slammed the show's current judges for their scoring in Blackpool, arguing that 10s aren't 'worth what they used to be' and suggesting some big changes should be in order.
James was a pro dancer on Strictly for many years, partnering the likes of Pamela Stephenson and Denise Van Outen, prior to leaving the BBC show in 2014 and going onto appear on Celebrity Big Brother and winning Dancing on Ice. While he hasn't been on Strictly for a decade, he still has lot of opinions on it, with him taking to social media to hit out at judges' decisions and marking and numerous group numbers from the pros who are on the programme now,
And he certainly had plenty to say about Saturday night's Strictly Blackpool special, with a damning reaction to the scores awarded to Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, after they were the first to take to the dancefloor with their American Smooth. The routine to a reworked big band version of Van Halen's Jump earned them a score of 37 out of 40 from the judges, including 10s from Shirley and Anton, giving them their highest total so far but one person not happy with the marks handed out was James.

Taking to X, James ranted: "Wow!!!! I love Chris and Dianne and would actually like them to win BUT 10’s don’t have the same worth as they did back in my day. Time to shake up the show maybe and replace some of the judges," before then adding: "Just give everyone 10’s - get rid of the judges and just let the public decide 100%"
Having been absent from social media last week, James put the boot into the Strictly judges again over the decision to send Shayne Ward home as he told his followers: "100% FACT they sent the wrong person home - not up for discussion as Shane was clearly better. Nothing against Wynne"
