Jamie Borthwick was branded a 'cheat' by one of his co-stars, just minutes into Saturday night's launch show, having won the Christmas special at the end of last year.

EastEnders actor Jamie danced his way to victory alongside pro Nancy Xu in December and is now the first star that has competed on a Strictly Christmas show to then go onto be in a full series, with the move raising a few eyebrows among viewers, who argue that Jamie has an 'unfair advantage' over his rivals.

And, right before it was revealed that Jamie will be dancing with pro Michelle Tsiakkas, as the dancer gets a celeb partner for the first time, he spoke to hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman about how he felt about doing Strictly and, as Tess referenced his previous experience, Wynne very loudly muttered 'cheat!' as Jamie gave an uncomfortable smile.

The moment did not go un noticed by fans at home, as one took to X to write: "Me and my mum are dying of laughter when Wynne saying "cheat" when Jamie was talking" while others appeared to agree with Wynne, as one reacted: "need jamie KICKED OFF for having previous dance experience"

Wynne wasn't the only Strictly contestant to aim a dig in Jamie's direction, as he spoke to Tess and Claudia minutes later, Pete said: "I'm never going to be here again am I? Unless I'm Jamie!" as he looked very pleased with himself.

Many viewers have high expectations for Jamie and Michelle, with it taking just seconds of their partnership being revealed, to have many rushing to social media to predict they'll win the new series.
