Strictly's Janette on impact of Aljaz's return on relationship
Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara has shared what happened when her husband and fellow pro dancer Aljaž Škorjanec received the call from the BBC about coming back to the show.
Aljaž recently returned to the Strictly dancefloor after quitting the show in 2022. He's partnered with former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri.
Speaking to Prima magazine about having her husband back on the show, Janette said they "cried" when the BBC rang them, and that Aljaž's comeback has had a positive effect on their romance.

"We cried when that phone call came," she said. "We made that decision as a family and it was a big, tough decision because, at the time, we thought he would never go back.
"So when these conversations started happening again, all those butterflies we had when we started 11 years ago started coming back."
A former Strictly pro, Janette left the show in 2021 to move onto presenting spinoff It Takes Two, which she's still hosting in 2024.

As for Aljaž, the dancer celebrated his return to the show in an Instagram post with a picture of the show's iconic ballroom and the caption: "First day back in this special place."
"It is very, very special. A bit emotional, really, to get back into the ballroom and be amongst all those beautiful people who create the show," he told Metro. "It's a massive team of producers, people behind the scenes, in front of the camera, and it did really feel like home."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
