Strictly's Karen Clifton begged Jamie Redknapp to 'keep wife Louise away from husband Kevin'

They may have separated earlier this year, but it seems Jamie Redknapp had concerns over his marriage to Louise while she was still competing in Strictly Come Dancing.

The retired football player reportedly made a worrying phone call to Strictly’s Karen Clifton after he became concerned that Louise was having ‘an affair’ with Karen’s husband, Kevin Clifton, who was partnered with Louise during her stint on the show in 2016.

And the conversation probably didn’t do much to ease Jamie’s concerns, as Karen is reported to have warned him to keep Louise away from Kevin.

According to a close friend of Karen, who later recounted what was said to The Sun, the Venezuelan beauty told Jamie: ‘Keep your wife away from my husband. She’s ruining our marriage.’

Jamie had apparently become increasingly concerned about his 19-year marriage and had phoned Karen without his wife’s knowledge.

‘Jamie was very concerned about his marriage and had become aware of Louise sending text messages to Kevin,’ the source told The Sun.

‘He made the decision to call Karen without Louise’s knowledge, which was a very hard thing for him to do.

‘He asked Karen if he thought their partners were having an affair.’

The source continued: ‘Karen was very upset at the time and that’s when she asked Jamie to try and keep Louise away from Kevin.

‘Emotions were running high as it’s not the type of situation either of them expected to be in.’

Louise was said to be shocked and ‘hurt’ when she learned of the exchange between Jamie and Karen as she viewed Karen as a close friend.

Meanwhile, earlier this week it was reported that Louise and Jamie have filed for divorce after allegedly deciding there’s ‘no going back’ after separating in July.

It also emerged this week that Karen and Kevin’s relationship is on the rocks, with the couple reportedly ‘living separately.’

Karen is said to now be dating accountant Stuart Wood, with their pair spotted out together on several occasions.

While Karen is still sporting her wedding ring, reports have claimed the pair are ‘getting to know each other’.
