Strictly's Katya Jones insists her marriage is 'fine', following Seann Walsh kissing scandal

Katya Jones, the Strictly Come Dancing star who was caught on camera kissing her dance partner Seann Walsh, has insisted that her marriage is ‘absolutely fine’.

Jones and Walsh appeared on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two last night, which has avoided the growing furore thus far, to speak to host Zoe Ball about the incident.

The Russian-born pro-dancer is married to fellow Strictly dancer and choreographer Neil Jones.

“Yes obviously I apologise, and I can’t apologise enough to everyone who it hurt and involved,” she said.

“But, the main thing, me and Neil are absolutely fine and that’s what matters to me the most right now and focusing on my job and doing it as professionally I can.”

The statement echoed what she said in the immediate aftermath of pictures emerging of her and Walsh kissing after a night out.

“I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship,” she said.

Walsh has since split with his girlfriend of five years, Rebecca Humphries, who issued a scathing statement about the stand-up comedian, speaking of previous ‘inappropriate, hurtful behaviour’.

The pair will perform a Charleston on this weekend’s show, but now Walsh is favourite to be voted off by viewers.
