Strictly's Molly Rainford tipped to join EastEnders
Strictly Come Dancing star Molly Rainford looks to be joining the cast of EastEnders.
Fresh off a runner-up finish on the most recent series of Strictly in December, Molly is reportedly being eyed for a top role in another of the BBC's TV franchises.
The Sun reports that Molly has landed an EastEnders role as the daughter of a new family moving into Walford to take over the Queen Vic later this year.
The BBC declined to comment when reached by Digital Spy.
Viewers know there will be some kind of change in ownership of the pub following Danny Dyer exiting EastEnders as part of last year's dramatic Christmas episodes.
With Mick MIA (or possibly RIP), his wife Linda recently came to the decision to sell the pub because it's too painful to carry on in Mick's absence.
Sharon Watts and the Panesars emerged as early contenders to take over the pub — before Linda was seen negotiating with an unknown bidder behind their backs.
If Molly does land this EastEnders role, it would continue an association with the BBC that has run throughout her career thus far.
Despite only being 22 years old, Molly has already achieved huge telly success, originally as a contestant on Britain's Got Talent and a presenter on Friday Download as a pre-teen and teenager.
From there, she would go on to star in CBBC's musical science fiction series Nova Jones as the title character from 2021, before landing a spot in the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing celebrity lineup last year.
Molly has also had success on the pop charts, having released two EPs since 2019.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
