Oti Mabuse has hinted she might be up for a return to Strictly Come Dancing.

The pro dancer won't be taking part in the upcoming 2022 series of the show as she's taken on other projects including dating show Romeo and Duet, and being a judge on Dancing on Ice and The Masked Dancer.

But speaking to WalesOnline, she suggested it might not always be the case.

"Strictly has been everything to me and has given me this amazing platform that I have. No, I'm not done – it still has a place in my heart," she said.

Oti, who was the first pro to win in two consecutive years, added that she will "always be a part" of the show.

Motsi Mabuse's sister announced she was leaving the BBC show back in February, saying it was a difficult decision.

"Never easy to say goodbye," she wrote on Instagram.

"I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time.

"Lifting the glitter ball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers!"

"I’m honestly so grateful to The BBC and will always remember that Strictly and BBC brought me to the UK - which I now call home and I have learnt and grown so much," she added.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

The pro line-up has also had another change, with Aljaž Škorjanec announcing he won't be returning in 2022 either.

"A little while ago I made the tough decision that Strictly 2021 would be my last," he said.

"The show has given me an opportunity and freedom to create and express myself in front of millions of people every weekend for the last 9 years."

He added: "Being a part of a group of professionals that inspire and push you to be better every step of the way is humbling and I will carry that inspiration with me forever."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
