Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks has tried out a daring dance move on Maura Higgins.

The former Love Island star took to TikTok on Monday (October 21) to share a video of the pair attempting an impressive floor lift.

The jaw-dropping move went viral on social media after Danny Amendola and Witney Carson flawlessly executed it during their contemporary routine on Dancing with the Stars last week.

Captioned: "A few concussions later," the new clip saw Pete show off his muscles as he pulled Maura up by her leg. She then fell into his arms and stared deeply into his eyes.

Fans quickly took to the comments section to applaud the pair on executing the tricky dance move, with one writing: "Yes yes very nice, now let's see Sam [Thompson] & Pete do this."

"My spine would immediately dislocate! Great core Maura," another added, while a third said: "I feel like we shouldn't be getting content THIS good."

Pete's Strictly co-star Tasha Ghouri also shared her approval, writing: "Slay slay," while Love Island's Leah Taylor asked to see the "out takes".

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Pete and Maura's relationship after they were spotted sharing a kiss outside the Broadwick Soho Hotel in August.

Maura recently poked fun at the reports during Pete's podcast tour, posting a cheeky snap with his best friend Sam Thompson.

In the photo, Maura could be seen wearing a t-shirt which featured the tabloid photo of her kissing Pete, with a big message displayed across the front, which read: "We can't be friends."

This weekend, Pete took to the Strictly ballroom with his professional partner Jowita Przystał to perform a Rumba to 'Don't Look Back in Anger' by Oasis, which scored 22 points.

Head judge Shirley Ballas praised Pete's "masculine" approach to the dance, but felt he needed to incorporate more "isolation" within his hip movements.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
