Strictly's Shirley Ballas accused of having 'issue' with star on BBC show as fans complain
Strictly Come Dancing fans have accused Shirley Ballas of havi8ng an 'issue' with Jamie Borthwick, as the soap star became the latest star to be voted off the show this weekend.
Having won the Christmas special a year ago, EastEnders actor Jamie was seen as one of the frontrunners in the new series, however, while he was a big favourite with some viewers at home, Jamie's journey on Strictly has now come to an abrupt end, as he was sent packing from the ballroom on Sunday's Strictly results show.
Having never been in the bottom two and topped the leaderboard earlier in the series, Jamie and pro partner Michelle Tsiakkas aimed to make it through to next week's quarter final with their Foxtrot to Stand By Me on Saturday night. However, scoring Jamie lower than both Pete Wicks and Chris McCausland, Shirley appeared to question if Jamie's time on the show could be up, when she, rather brutally, described the routine as "monotone," before adding: "I'd like you to work on that...if you get any more ballroom dances."

Neither Shirley or any of the other judges opted to save Jamie and Michelle when they went up against Montell and Johannes in this week's dance-off and, after the Strictly result was confirmed, some critics flocked to X to argue that Shirley had something against Jamie, including one who commented: ". The judges need replacing. They are so biased. It's unreal. Jamie has been persecuted by Shirley."
Taking the same view, another reacted: "They (well, mostly Shirley) wanted him out for some reason. Not sure an elimination has felt so sour before." as a third fumed: "Gutted for #Jamie. Judges have been so harsh to him from the start & undermarked (especially Shirley Biased) At least she has her favourites Chris & Pete in for another week"
