Yahoo News Strictly's Tasha Ghouri shuts down Giovanni Pernice fling probe in brutal four-word reply
Tasha Ghouri has shut down a probe into her past relationship with former Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice, using a brutal four-word response.
In an interview with the Sunday Times' Blanca Schofield, the Strictly Come Dancing star was quizzed about her brief romance with the 2021 winner, which occurred prior to her stint on Love Island.
It comes after Pernice's former co-star, Amanda Abbington, levelled accusations of bullying against the Sicilian star this year, which was followed by a BBC investigation, and the professional dancer's subsequent show exit.
However, Pernice was later exonerated by the corporation on ten out of 16 complaints, with six assertions substantiated. Tasha reportedly went on secret dates with the former pro after he won the show with actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, who made history as the show's first-ever deaf contestant.
When Blanca asked about the relationship, however, Tasha, who was born deaf, batted away her questions, according to the journalist, with the star simply saying of Giovanni - he was "somebody from years ago".
It was previously reported that Pernice and Tasha followed each other on Instagram and started corresponding privately before they met in 2022 and later enjoyed dates.
A source close to Tasha claimed to the MailOnline that he was "persistent" with his interest in her, and the pair have much in common due to them both being dancers, and Pernice having learned about the deaf community through his performances with Rose.
They went on to say that Tasha was "impressed by how gentlemanly he was", with the dancer taking the former Love Islander to London restaurants.
They claimed: "Their romance didn't progress because Giovanni was travelling a lot with the Strictly tour and Tasha was already involved with someone else."
Last month, it was revealed that Tasha, who is dating her Love Island partner Andrew Le Page, has since moved in with him, with the couple also getting a dog and matching tattoos together.
In addition, they became homeowners and celebrated their second anniversary in the summer. Meanwhile, Pernice is believed to be single after a reported split from model Molly Brown in the summer.
He has previously been romantically linked to Maura Higgins, Georgia May-Foote, and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, as well as fellow Strictly pro Jowita Pryzstal, reports Metro.
