Vito Coppola has released an emotional; statement about his 'last' dance with Ellie Leach on Strictly, as the reigning champions prepare to return to the ballroom on Saturday night.#
Fan favourites all the way through the last series of the hit BBC final, Ellie and Vito sailed through to the final, having never landed in the bottom two and, despite getting the lowest score out of the four couples in the 2023 final, after a costly blunder in their Show Dance, the couple topped the viewer vote when it mattered most, to win the Strictly glitterball trophy.
Since then, Ellie and Vito have been all over the UK on the Strictly live tour, although they were soundly beaten by Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, who comfortably got the most amount of wins by the end of it.

On Saturday evening, fans will get their first look at this year's Strictly line-up, as stars like Pete Wicks, Nick Knowles, Toyah Wilcox and Tasha Ghouri step into the ballroom for the first time and find out who they're dancing with. And, viewers will also be treated to performance from Ellie and Vito, as they prepare to hand over their title.
Clearly emotional about being back on the dancefloor, Vito took to Instagram on Saturday morning to share photos of him and Ellie in the rehearsal room and and wrote: "One year ago I met a girl, today I see a strong and independent woman! @ellielouiseleach.Wow time really flies This is our very last rehearsal together but as I promised I will always be right here, beside you, to support you and watch you living your best life."
He added: "The world is yours baby and I am super proud of you. Love you so much. You can always count on me. Our memories will stay forever in our lives and in our hearts!"
