Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola has revealed his surprising source of inspiration when choreographing.

The dancer is currently partnered with actor Sarah Hadland and together, the duo achieved the highest scoring Samba of the series last week (October 19). But Vito has suggested that Sarah's friend and former co-star Miranda Hart deserves credit for their success.

Appearing on tonight's (October 25) It Takes Two, host Fleur East commended the pair for their brilliant performance, which earned them an impressive 32 points. "You are clearly challenging Sarah, because Shirley [Ballas] even noted how difficult the choreography was," she said.

Fleur went on to discuss how Hart has been showcasing her own dance skills in support of Sarah. "Every week your friend Miranda has been posting choreography tips and this week she was joined by a familiar face," said the host, introducing a video of the comedian with It Takes Two host Janette Manrara.

The clip showed the duo hilariously debating dance techniques for the Argentine Tango, which Sarah and Vito will be dancing tomorrow (October 26).

When asked if he would be taking tips from Hart, Vito revealed a big secret about his teaching. "Now I have to get exposed. I have to admit, I cannot hide anymore," he teased.

"I, all of these weeks, I took the credit but actually it was Miranda's choreography," Vito revealed. "Because every week she was like posting something with you know, some notes, some advice, some new step that she created.

"Like in Samba, we use the hips figure of eight. She was creating the zero, you know," he continued, explaining how he incorporated Hart's move into Sarah's choreography.

"So I said like 'Miranda, thank you very much. I'm getting inspired by you.' I was like stealing her movement and pretending it was mine but now everyone knows so I cannot fake anymore," he laughed.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
