Strikes set to go ahead after ‘insulting’ talks with Health Secretary

Planned strikes by healthcare workers look set to go ahead, after unions said they are "very angry" about discussions with Health Secretary Steve Barclay which aimed to resolve the dispute. Earlier, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he was “happy to talk about pay” with unions as ministers held a series of meetings aimed at ending a wave of industrial unrest in the NHS and on the rail network.
