Strikes Spark Large Fire in Ukrainian Port City of Odesa
Ukrainian officials said Russian strikes hit the southern port city of Odesa on Saturday, May 7, damaging homes and a furniture business, and sparking a large fire, the country’s public broadcaster reported.
Footage from the State Emergency Service (SES) in Odesa shows firefighters battling a blaze they said was caused by a missile strike.
No casualties were reported.
A spokeswoman for Southern Defense and Protection Forces, Natalia Humeniuk, told media that four rockets hit a furniture factory in a residential area and two hit an already damaged runway.
