Strong Waves Slam Car into Another on Washington Ferry

A windy day pushed powerful waves over a Washington ferry traveling from Friday Harbor to Anacortes, shoving one car into another on the boat’s deck on Sunday, November 19. News reports said no one was injured in the incident.

Jeremy Ridgway, who filmed the crash, wrote: “We were on the way back to Anacortes from Friday Harbor on the 11:05 boat. I saw how big the waves were getting and started filming. That is when the mist came over the front of the boat. I was trying to turn the wipers on when the large wave hit. That’s when I noticed that the car in front and to the left had been pushed back into the car next me [sic]. The car in front of me moved back about 3 feet, and barely hit my bumper. There was more spray coming over the rest of the trip, but not another wave.” Credit: Facebook/Jeremy Ridgway via Storyful
