Strong Wind and Rain Lash Southwest Florida as Tropical Storm Debby Moves Through

Strong wind and rain hit parts of southwest Florida early on Sunday, August 4, as Tropical Storm Debby intensified as it moved into the region.

This footage was filmed by Joey Naples, who said he filmed it from his home in East Naples early Sunday morning.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Debby was forecasted to become a hurricane before making landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region, adding that “potentially historic rainfall and catastrophic flooding” was possible for the southeastern Gulf. Credit: Joey Waves via Storyful
