Strong Winds Reignite Valencia’s Bejis Fire

Smoke was seen rising in the mountains in Jerica, Spain, on Thursday August 18, after a fire that burned more than 13,000 hectares was reactivated, according to local news reports.

A report from Las Provincias, a regional newspaper, said rainfall early on Thursday morning helped contain the Bejis fire, but sudden strong winds reignited the flames.
