At least one person was killed and more than 2,200 people evacuated their homes as Typhoon Maysak struck mainland South Korea on September 3, Yonhap said.
This video, posted to Instagram, shows strong winds lashing the port city of Busan.
Winds of up to 170 km/h (105 mph) were recorded as the storm hit the city.
There was damage to hundreds of buildings, vehicles, and trees, Yonhap said.
