Student Protesters Injured During Clashes in Bangladesh

At least 26 people were injured during clashes in Dhaka on Saturday, August 4, as demonstrations continued over Bangladesh’s road safety conditions, local reports said.

The ongoing protests began after two students were killed by a bus in Dhaka on July 29. On Saturday, local media reported that clashes broke out between the protesters and pro-government groups, including members of the Bangladesh Chhatra League, a student organisation linked to the ruling Awami League party.
