Even though summer has passed, the allure of a beach for relaxation and leisurely walks remains.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't necessarily need scorching weather to fully appreciate a UK beach.

A recent study has pinpointed the best beach in the UK, based on an analysis of Tripadvisor reviews by QR Code Generator.

The research involved comparing the number of five-star reviews with the total number of reviews to calculate the percentage of top-rated reviews for each location.

The final ranking was determined by the beaches with the highest proportion of five-star reviews, reports the Express.

Marc Porcar, CEO of QR Code Generator, commented: "Whilst the UK is known for its many stunning beaches, this study shows that Scotland dominates the top five ranking when it comes to high ratings from visitor reviews."

"It is notable that most of these beaches are in remote locations, which is likely how they remain so picturesque and popular among visitors. This means that it may be more difficult to find these hidden beaches than the usual seaside towns, even though it is likely to be worth the effort."
