Succession season 3 casts Your Honor star Hope Davis

Your Honor actress Hope Davis looks set to wage war against the Roy family in Succession season three.

According to Deadline, she's signed on for a multi-episode arc as Sandi Furness – the daughter of Logan Roy's chief rival Sandy Furness, played by Larry Pine.

Season two of HBO's black-comedy drama witnessed Kendall Roy's betrayal of venomous patriarch Logan, leaving the latter in an uncomfortable and unfamiliar position for the next set of episodes. Could he even find an unlikely ally in Sandi?

Kendall actor Jeremy Strong previously teased a "more expansive and empowered" third season for his character.

"Last season everything was in such a minor key, and held inside in a silent anguish that had to be sustained for six months," he said. "There was a sense of powerlessness that [my] character had.

"The Houdini magic trick at the very end allowed me to make that reversal, and suddenly I found my power.

"The pilot light that had been nearly extinguished came roaring back."

No official release date has been assigned to Succession's third season yet, but filming has started and a 2021 premiere is still possible.

Succession airs on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK.
