Succession’s Sarah Snook shares theory on Shiv’s future after show finale
Succession ending spoilers follow.
Succession may be over, but Sarah Snook has shared what she believes the future holds for her character Shiv following the show's explosive finale.
The fourth and final season saw us say goodbye to foul-mouthed and cutthroat Logan Roy, leaving his children Connor, Kendall, Roman, and Shiv clawing for his position of Waystar RoyCo CEO.
However, none of his heirs would end up leading the company, with Alexander Skarsgård's Lukas Matsson buying the company and putting Matthew Macfadyen's Tom Wambsgans in the lead job.

The series' final scene saw Shiv place her hand on top of her estranged husband Tom's – something that has been interpreted many ways by fans.
Following the finale, Snook shared what she believes Shiv would be up to now in the wake of the company takeover in a new interview with Variety.
The star believes that Shiv's future following the finale takes a much darker turn, which sees her go into "quite a deep postpartum depression".
Speaking about Shiv's expression in the closing scene, she added: "I think the baby thing is really about to hit in a way that is inescapable," referencing her character's pregnancy in the final season.

Logan actor Brian Cox has also spoken out about which of his onscreen children he feels could have taken over the business.
"The only one, ironically, who I think he feels could step up was Roman, because Roman showed a lot of sensibility, particularly in dealing with the Middle Eastern money – which was fake, and he knew it, and he could see it in season 2," he told Screen Rant.
"I thought, 'Wow, there is a potential in Roman', as I believe there is. That's why I think Roman really, really loved his father."
Succession aired on HBO in the US, and is available on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
