Succession's Brian Cox calls co-star "f**king annoying" on set
Succession sees the wealthy Roy family constantly making digs at each other, usually through family patriarch Logan dropping F-bombs at just the right (or wrong) time.
So it's not too surprising that when asked about Kendall actor Jeremy Strong's highly publicised intense method acting on set, Logan actor Brian Cox called it "f**king annoying".
Speaking to Town & Country magazine, the veteran performer was asked about his on-screen son's commitment to isolating himself from the rest of the cast and remaining in character, and he said: "Oh, it’s f**king annoying. Don’t get me going on it.

"He’s a very good actor, and the rest of the ensemble is all okay with this. But knowing a character and what the character does is only part of the skill set. He’s still that guy, because he feels if he went somewhere else he’d lose it. But he won’t!
"Strong is talented. He’s f**king gifted. When you’ve got the gift, celebrate the gift. Go back to your trailer and have a hit of marijuana, you know?"
It's not the first time Cox has spoken about this, previously noting that he had a fatherly concern for Strong. This week has seen Strong respond to those older comments, where he stated to GQ : "Brian Cox, for example, he's earned the right to say whatever the f**k he wants. There was no need to address that or do damage control…
"I feel a lot of love for my siblings and my father on the show. And it is like a family in the sense that, and I'm sure they would say this too, you don't always like the people that you love. I do always respect them."

Strong added it's the nature of this show, in which Kendall is often estranged from his family, that causes him to isolate himself, noting he would be different if he "was working on Friends or something".
Succession airs on HBO in the US, and Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
