Suicide Bomb Targets Military Convoy in Helmand

At least five people were killed and dozens wounded in a suicide bombing in Lashkargah, the capital of southern Helmand province, on August 23, according to local reports.

A provincial government spokesman told local media that two of those killed were Afghan soldiers, while three were civilian women.

Pajhwok Afghan News reported that the suicide attack targeted soldiers outside the Helmand police headquarters.
