All the summer timetable changes for Greater Anglia with extra trains and faster journey times

Greater Anglia's new summer timetable has been announced and passengers can expect to see a few changes to help travelling during this busy period. Some of its changes will include extra trains, faster journey times between Norwich and London and better off-peak travel links.

Greater Anglia's new Summer timetable starts from Sunday, June 2 2024. There may be other changes to timetables, including changes in arrival and departure times and stopping patterns at stations not listed in their summer timetable, so those using their services are still advised to check journeys before travelling.

There will be six additional weekday evening peak train services departing London Liverpool Street and there will also be improvements to weekday evening peak services from Stratford to Chelmsford, which will see trains departing Stratford approximately every 10 minutes.

In Cambridgeshire, there will be additional Sunday morning services added to Peterborough Railway Station during the busy summer period. Most off peak, daytime Monday to Saturday train services from Ipswich to Cambridge will depart at 20 minutes past the hour (1 minute earlier than before).

  • Additional weekday evening peak services from London to Southend, Southminster, Witham and Ipswich

  • Faster journey times between Norwich and London, with most off-peak services timed for 1 hour 47 minutes

  • 08.00 Norwich to London and 17.00 London to Norwich services will be under 1 hour 40 minutes

  • Off-peak Clacton to London services will call at Hythe – offering better links for the University of Essex

  • Additional services on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays between Norwich and Great Yarmouth in the busy summer period

  • Additional Sunday morning services between Ipswich and Peterborough in the busy summer period
