Sun Rises Over Dolphins and Cormorant at South Carolina's Seabrook Island

Several dolphins were silhouetted by a fiery pink sunrise as they glided gently through shallow waters off Seabrook Island, South Carolina, on the morning of Thursday, April 15, passing a cormorant as it ducked down into the water looking for food.

According to the Seabrook Island website,, the Greater Charleston area is home to approximately 350 bottlenose dolphins, with about 25 spending the majority of their time near Seabrook Island. Credit: Glen Cox via Storyful
