Sun Sets Behind Smoke From California's Growing Alisal Fire

The Californian sunset was given an orange glow by large smoke clouds from the Alisal Fire burning in Santa Barbara County on Tuesday, October 12.

The wildfire grew to 13,400 acres and was 5 percent contained late on October 12, with crews battling flames fueled by persistent winds, Los Padres National Forest said.

Santa Barbara County’s Office of Emergency Management issued fresh evacuation orders.
