Sunak and Macron agree illegal migration deal in Paris summit

Rishi Sunak and Emmanuel Macron has agreed a deal to tackle illegal immigration that will see the UK pay almost £500million over the next three years, with a new detention centre to be established in France.The two leaders announced details of the package at a press confrence in Paris following hour-long talks at the Elysee Palace.The Prime Minister committed to sending Paris £478 million to fund a new detention centre in France for the first time, as well as hundreds of extra French law enforcement officers.
