Sunday Brunch star 'seething' after seeing his Christmas 'ruined'
A Sunday Brunch star has cruelly seen their festive season be "ruined" by a purchase. Channel 4 guest Ben Miller appeared on Sunday Brunch ahead of Christmas on Sunday, having discussed how his festive season hit the skids.
Host Tim Lovejoy was left in hysterics as actor Ben shared the "obscene" amount of money he had spent on a loaf of bread at a Christmas fair. Tim and Simon Rimmer welcomed Ben alongside Samara Joy, Nina Wadia, Gregor Fisher, Ben Hardy, and Elmiene into the studio.
Tim said: "Ben, we heard you paid an obscene amount of money for some bread this week." In reply, Ben rolled his eyes as he recounted his visit to a Christmas fair, prompting Tim to probe: "Do you love them?"

"I do actually," Ben affirmed. "Genuinely love a Christmas fair, a great way to get in the mood for Christmas". He then mentioned spotting a panettone and deciding to buy it for his brother-in-law, challenging the guests: "Saw a panettone and thought, 'I'll get that for my brother-in-law'. Can you guess how much it cost?"
"I know, so I can't guess," responded Tim. "Ask the international celebrities!" Ben said: "You've got to factor in the tin, a nice tin. Panettone, tin, hazlenut, chocolate." Following Gregor's estimate, Ben urged: "Raise you £25."
"60 quid!" Ben exclaimed. "At that point I didn't know what to do! I felt like I was on the spot." Her said: "They were thinking, 'It's Ben Miller off the telly!'" He said: "Exactly! Exactly!" He added: "I'm exposed! I felt I couldn't let them down. I couldn't back out.
"But I'm seething. It's ruined Christmas for me! " he admitted, adding: "Nobody's getting anything." Tim asked: "What was so special about it, did they say?" Ben told him: "It's Dolce and Gabbana. I thought it said Dolce and Gobbana, like it was a joke.
"No, it was actually by Dolce and Gabbana, so 60 quid."
