Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris says he's hopeful his team can find the solution to the many problems Leeds United will pose them as the hosts bid to stay top of the Championship table. Leeds travel to the Stadium of Light on Friday night to take on a Black Cats team that have won all four of their home games so far this season and are yet to concede at home.

Sunderland returned to winning ways last night with a victory at Derby County but were far from at their best as the club goes through a very minor sticky patch in terms of performance.

The Black Cats bounced back from their defeat at Watford to win again at the Stadium of Light thanks to a first-half wonder strike from Jobe Bellingham and Wilson Isidor bagging his second goal in as many games.

Speaking to safc.com post-match, Le Bris shared his delight and admitted he was pleased to see his side build on their momentum.
“I’m not sure it was really a controlled performance but we had the right level of discipline especially out of possession,” he explained.

“In that kind of game it’s still difficult to create that balance and to control the game. But it was the case out of possession and when we had the opportunity to score we did. Especially with the second goal which was very important at the beginning of the second half. So the discipline of the group was good.

“After the defeat away it was important to win again and at home, and that was the case. In possession we should have more mastery of the ball which would be more dominant to defend and better for running after the ball but in the end we win and we are happy for that.”

Touching on Leeds United, on Friday night, Le Bris added: “It’s a good game at home, a different context and different game-plan. For us we are still in that process with different experiences and I hope we find the solution to win that game at home.”
