West Ham will take another giant stride towards Premier League survival if they beat bottom club Sunderland on Saturday.

The Hammers beat Swansea last weekend to pull eight points clear of the bottom three and will move to within a sniff of the 40-point mark with a second straight win.

Their hosts Sunderland are 10 points from safety with seven games to play, but David Moyes says his team will not concede defeat in their bid to beat the drop until it is mathematically certain.

"We've got a home game next, let's see if we can get some momentum, try to get a win in that and we'll try to do that," said Moyes.

Mark Noble and Michail Antonio will be missing for West Ham, with the captain suspended and winger out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

Antonio joins Winston Reid (groin), Angelo Ogbonna (knee) and Pedro Obiang (ankle) on the casualty list.

But Andy Carroll, an unused sub against Swansea last weekend, is now fully fit after a groin problem and Sam Byram (ankle) and Aaron Cresswell (muscle) have shaken off knocks.

Full-back Bryan Oviedo is out of Sunderland squad as he faces up to five weeks on the sidelines after damaging his hamstring in the 3-0 loss to Manchester United last weekend.
