'Super fit' Ruth Langsford removes Eamonn's stairlift from marital home
Ruth Langsford has removed her husband Eamonn Holmes’ stairlift from their marital home, a source has revealed.
The GB News presenter and wife Ruth Langsford announced their split in May after 14 years of marriage. The couple have one child together, their son Jack, who was born in 2002. News of their split came as a shock to fans, who knew them for their co-presenting work on This Morning.
They confirmed their split through a representative, who said: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

But Eamonn, 64, has moved on from his split from Ruth and is now dating 42-year-old relationship counsellor Katie. The pair reportedly met several years ago via Twitter and have formed a close friendship over the past couple of years.
While Eamonn is busy moving on with his new beau, Ruth has removed a key feature he installed at their marital home in Surrey.
The Loose Women star had her husband’s stairlift dismantled and removed from the home, according to the Mail on Sunday.
A stairlift that was installed at the house to help Mr Holmes, who suffers from a debilitating back condition, get up the curved stair-case to his old bedroom.
One source told the paper: “Ruth doesn’t need [a stairlift]. She’s super-fit and healthy.”
The source added: “Ruth has remained quiet and classy. Even when people bring up what Eamonn has been up to, she stays silent and just smiles. She thinks that is the best way. She has had a lot of support from her friends.”
Ruth’s co-star and friend Coleen Nolan has also commended her for her grace during her split from Eamonn Holmes.
Coleen, discussing her colleague's situation after four months, shared: "Ruth and I keep in touch all the time. She's back at work now, which is great because I really missed her."
Shedding light on Ruth's handling of the matter, Coleen remarked: "I don't want to say too much because it's not my business to say Ruth's life, but what I will say from a friend's point of view is, I've never met anyone that has handled something with so much dignity and pride."
She added with admiration: "She's just such a lady, more of a lady then I'll ever be, I would've spilled my guts right now - as I do, that's my problem, I say too much. She's been absolutely amazing, she really has."
Lastly, Coleen revealed she offered Ruth advice on dealing with the split and staying quiet, though apparently, it wasn't heeded.
"I've given her advice but she doesn't listen to me, I'm going, 'How can you not say anything? ' But I don't need to give her advice," she revealed to Woman Magazine.
Coleen also mentioned that she continues to regularly check on Ruth's wellbeing, stating: "I just love her and I'm in awe of how she's handled everything."
A source recently revealed to Closer Magazine that Eamonn’s new girlfriend Katie is eager to take the next step in their relationship, now that they've gone public.
The insider told the magazine: "Eamonn has been very solitary, he only wants to be with Katie. She wants marriage and believes he's her soulmate. They plan to purchase a house in Belfast and live together."
Belfast-born Eamonn was recently pictured being pushed in a wheelchair by girlfriend Katie as the couple returned from a romantic getaway.
Eamonn arrived in Barcelona, Spain, to board Virgin Voyager's luxurious Scarlet Lady last weekend. The broadcaster, 64, has since returned to the UK following the pair's cruising holiday.
