Landlords fear cross-border pub 'raids' for a drink
It seems fitting that divisions over the approach of each nation of the UK to the coronavirus pandemic should come to be symbolised by the desire for a good drink. With many English pubs now open for the first time since lockdown, the continued closure of their own is expected to lead to cross-border "raids" by drinkers from Wales and Scotland. Patrick Sawer reports on police warnings that they will enforce their own guidelines if drinkers try to sneak a cheeky drink across the border.
