It seemed like Supernatural was going to carry on until the heat death of the universe but nope, it actually is coming to an end with season 15.

The show has had many season finales that have upped the stakes to crazy degrees, but before long it's back to business as usual for Sam and Dean Winchester. Are they going to end the show with the brothers still travelling round doing their demon hunting thing, or will the show go out with something more final?

Castiel actor Misha Collins is firmly in the camp of the show having a definitive end, and by that we mean he wants Sam and Dean to die.

Speaking to TV Guide, the actor said: "If they die – I don't know, I don't think it's written yet – but if they do die, I want them to die going out doing something they love that will make the world a better place.

"Part of me thinks that's the only way to end Supernatural. Because if the boys were alive, they'd be hunting, and if they're hunting, I want to see them hunting.

"Maybe that's the way it goes, I don't know."

If you haven't seen the season 14 finale and want to know how the show has set up the premise for season 15, then look no further.

Supernatural airs on The CW in the UK and on E4 in the UK.
