Oscar contender To Leslie, starring Andrea Riseborough, is available to watch on Prime Video UK.
The movie, which stars Riseborough as an alcoholic single mother from West Texas who wins the lottery only to waste the money, follows her character's attempts to rebuild and repair the life she left behind.
In a surprise turn of events, Riseborough's Oscar nomination for best actress was announced today following a successful grassroots campaign to get her the nomination.
The little known film, while making less than £30,000 at the box office since its release last year, was subject to a viral campaign from multiple celebrities and is now available to stream on Prime Video UK.
The campaign has seen tremendous traction over the last few weeks with celebrities such as Cate Blanchett, Amy Adams, Jane Fonda, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Anniston all championing Riseborough's performance (via The Guardian).
Hosting a screening for what she described as "a masterpiece of a film," Gwyneth Paltrow said that the Matilda star's performance should "win every award there is and all the ones that haven’t been invented yet".
Using her own awards win speech after receiving a Critics Choice award, Cate Blanchett highlighted Riseborough's overlooked performance, while Kate Winslett described it as: "One of the greatest performances I have ever seen in my life."
Speaking to Deadline following the nomination news, Riseborough said that she was "astounded" to be nominated even after receiving so much support from her peers.
"I’m astounded," Riseborough said. "It's such an unexpected ray of light. It was so hard to believe it might ever happen because we really hadn't been in the running for anything else. Even though we had a lot of support, the idea it might actually happen seemed so far away."
To Leslie is available to stream on Prime Video.
