This weekend's closure of sliproads on part of the Surrey M25 has been cancelled after work on the major improvement of the interchange at Wisley means it is no longer required.

The section of the motorway near junction 10 will still be closed overnight on Saturday (November 2) but National Highways has confirmed that the planned weekend closure is no longer necessary as the required work was completed when the section of the motorway closed for previous weekends earlier this month.

The previous two closures of the gyratory took place on October 4 to 7, and then October 18 to 21. According to National Highways, these closures allowed them to incorporate four "jet lanes", which go through the junction and avoid traffic signals.

It is worth mentioning that closures on the M25 Junction 10 and 11 will still place, however, the closures will be over a much shorter time period on the weekend of November 2.

National Highways stated that there will still be an overnight closure of the M25 between junctions 10 and 11 on Saturday, November 2, so they can complete significant bridge work. This overnight closure will be longer than usual, with closures expected to take place from 9pm to 10am the following morning (Sunday, November 3).

The B2039 Ockham Road North and the A245 have further works planned on them, and closures will remain in place until the end of November 2024 while works continue. SGN had been working on the B2039, carrying out utility works, and on the A245, the A3 northbound off slip at Painshill has been closed.

National Highways does not anticipate any more full M25 closures this year, besides the Wisley Interchange works, which are set to continue until the summer of 2025. National Highway has warned that next spring there could be two more full weekend closures but that a four week notice will be provided ahead of time.
